Small World Big Picture
Algonquin College believes in the difference even the smallest of actions can make. This becomes more evident with globalization as countries and people become intertwined on an international scale. This is why Algonquin College knows the magnitude that a statement such as “Small World Big Picture” can have.

Through Sombra Café, a difference is being made throughout the world. Each purchase translates directly into a well-above average income for the farmers in Santa Maria de Dota and Costa Rica. This extra revenue translates into a greater cash-flow situation within Santa Maria de Dota, aiding in the improvement of the standard-of-living for the farmers and their families. On top of this, Algonquin College will be using portions of every purchase to institute scholarship and bursary funds to assist in the post-secondary education for all recipients.
